What’s on over the Easter holidays

Easter is not a big feature on the Halaal scene, but along with Easter comes the holidays, long weekends and what to do to keep the kids entertained. What follows is a list of happenings and special offers over the season. So enjoy the holidays out and about or keep it chilled and park on the couch. That’s ok too.

Panarotti’s, Kenilworth
This popular family pizza place will be having a coloring in competition with 2 bicycles up for grabs. It will run from 18 March until 2 April.

Daily Shows at the South African National Circus School
Head to the circus for daily shows from March 25 at 7 PM to March 28 at 3 PM. Tickets from R70 per child and R110 per adult are available from Computicket.

Truffle Restaurant, Cape Town
Kids eat free for the Easter holidays.
Available from 12 to 5 daily during the school holidays, a maximum of two kids meals on the house, along with the purchase of two main meals, ie. two kids eat free for two paying adults.
The meals available are:
Kids chicken strips (grilled or fried) and chips or Kids calamari and chips or Kids spaghetti in tomato sauce.

The Cape Getaway Show 2016

The Cape Getaway Show has special events happening each day with loads of adventures for the whole family and a few special treats for the outdoor sports fanatics. What’s more, the first 1000 people to enter the gate on Friday will receive an awesome Getaway T-shirt!

David Kramer and The Fugard Theatre present District Six – Kanala, a musical homage to the multi-ethnic and multi-cultural community that was once District Six, before it was declared a white group area and 60,000 residents were relocated. Featuring Loukmaan Adams, Bianca Le Grange, Carlo Daniels, Edith Plaaitjies, Sne Dladla, Andrea Frankson, Natasha Hess and and Cleo Raatus.

V&A Waterfront Switches Off for Earth Hour
VA - Earth Hour 2015V&A Waterfront Switches Off! supports the World Wildlife Foundation’s (WWF) global environmental initiative Earth Hour with a family event that includes live entertainment, food trucks and children entertainment. Paige Mac, Matthew Mole and Mike Campbell Big Band perform before the lights go out between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. The premier, mayor and a speaker from WWF will also be present.
