2016 has seen many new additions to the halaal restaurant scene in Cape Town. We’ve said goodbye to a few but the rapid rise of halal eateries has more than made up for it. We’ve got more food trucks at popular markets and craft burger makers popping up everywhere. Fine dining is still a challenge but things are looking up. Casual eateries are improving their standards and halaal steakhouses are even opening up in the Northern Suburbs. The demand is there and the industry is responding.
