I was challenged to a Milk Tart bake-off at Table Mountain Aerial Cableway along with several other bloggers and novice bakers. Comedian Yaaseen Barnes, kept us laughing and distracted while we flexed our foodie muscles. We were given a bag of ingredients and a recipe with no quantities and had to figure out how to make 3 milk tarts from the lot.

I teamed up with Fuad Peters from Cape Town Tourism Connect and am happy to announce that we tied as the winners along with another team – Hitesh Panchal from the Next 48 Hours and Abongile Dulini from team Cableway. This was a fun afternoon in honour of that traditional South African favourite, Melktert!
