When Dunkin Donuts closed their doors in Cape Town, it cleared the way for Krispy Kreme to finally touch down on Cape Town’s shores.

Doughnut lovers have long been awaiting their first taste of this iconic American brand and can now get their fill at the first Cape Town store at the V&A Waterfront.

They officially opened on Tuesday 10 September 2019 to throngs of people queing for their first taste. The first person in-line got free doughnuts on a weekly basis for the next year.
