The country has moved to level 2 as from 17 August this year. But what are the clear rules in place for the tourism and hospitality industry.
Accommodation:
Establishments may now welcome inter-provincial leisure travellers.
Swimming pools are allowed subject to a limitation of 50 persons or less
Restaurants:
– May operate, but will need to adhere to the curfew.
– Social distancing needs to be adhered to
– Masks are still required when not eating or drinking
Venues for Weddings & Functions:
Attendance at a venue for a wedding, exhibition or any other function is limited to 50 persons and all hygienic conditions and physical distancing measures must be adhered to.
Travel:
Interprovincial travel is now permitted, which means travel between provinces for any purpose including leisure.
Special permits are not required except for a Health Declaration form needed for Air Travel.
The curfew remains between the hours of 10pm and 4am.
