A burger can be a subjective thing. Whether you like yours neat and clean or dripping down your hands messy, is an individual preference. But there are some firm favourites that make it to most peoples lists and weekend menu’s. We first did this list in 2016 and have updated it occasionally. This will be our 2022 update of what Capetonians think are the best dang burgers in the Mothercity!

These guys used to operate from their home in Belgravia Road in Athlone. With a consistently good product focussed only on burgers and chips they proved to be a huge hit and have opened a permanent branch in Wynberg and the second branch in Goodwood.

Watch out for the chilli burger. It means business. They are even more famous for their ribs, but it’s burgers we’re after now.
