Pedros New Paella hits all the right notes with a chance to WIN a VW Polo

So you all know that Pedros has been rolling out all over Mzansi with their flame grilled Portuguese chicken that is also such great value for money. They’ve become a regular on my takeout list and this week I tried out the new Spanish inspired Paella dish.

We had the Full chicken Paella in hot and the Chicken strips Paella in mild. The Full chicken comes with tender chicken pieces cut in 8, covered in their signature sprinkle spice. This is served on a Jumbo bed of savoury rice and drizzled liberally with basting sauce. So you have the benefit of both sprinkle spice and basting sauce, a marriage of great taste.

I usually order mild, but I found the hot version really tasty and the chicken juicy and tender. This meal is substantial and can easily feed 4. At R124.90 this meal is a steal.

The Chicken Strips Paella we had in mild. I found this meal to be a bit dry. I would add more sauce which is fine if you’re eating there cos they have extra sauce on the tables. If you’re ordering takeout, request extra sauce. Their mild also has a bit of a sting, and my 9 year old found it too hot. But it’s all good cos Lemon & Herb is an option too. At R74.90 this meal could easily feed 2 people.

Look out for the VIVA FEVA competition which is currently running in all stores! Purchase the Full Chicken Paella or Chicken Strips Paella for a chance to WIN a VW Polo Vivo and other Incredible Prizes!

  • On Saturday the 15/07/2023 I have visited your branch in Overport to purchase a full chicken meal that came with chips rolls and a cool drink as a take away it was disappointing to note that when i arrived at my aunts place in Arnold road which is a few kms away to consume it we notice the meal was not cooked well and seemed abit bloody and as a result smelt awful and inedible 95% of your meal was taken back to the store with till slip as angry as i was a black lady had the nerve to ask me to wait another 30 mins for a fresh meal being in a hurry and late for a family function i refused this offer my details was taken down the meal retained with my slip i have not heard from anyone there since there has been total silence and im really upset about this as i spent almost 200 rand and not even a phone call as promised this is against cpa law as a customer should get a refund or replacement if there unhappy and should happen immediately ive discovered that Pedros is a group that thrives of poor peoples money this is unethical business practice and should i not have a timeous response i will be visiting media platforms as well as the newspaper
