The West Coast of the Cape is a beautiful place to visit and stretches from Cape Town as far as the border with the Northern Cape at Touws River. It’s an unfiltered, less pretentious version of the touristy Cape.
At it’s heart is Langebaan, home of Club Mykonos, a popular staycation resort and the beautiful Langebaan Lagoon in the West Coast Nature Reserve. The West Coast is also home to the popular beach town of Paternoster with its Greek fishing village vibes as well as Veldrif and Yzerfontein.
Only a few hours’ drive from Cape Town, the West Coast is known for its glistening windswept beaches, heritage fishing villages, rich geographical diversity and its beautiful succulents and spring wildflowers.
Halaal food is less abundant than in Cape Town. Here is where you can find it. Please confirm with the establishment as halaal status may change.
