Bootlegger is a Cape Town favourite for great quality coffee, free wifi and all-day breakfast. Their Three Anchor Bay store was the first to go halaal back in 2018. The store has been doing great and there has been a recent changeover and it is now Muslim owned and operated. The new team aim to stir things up and add some home grown vibes to the menu.

The halaal menu offers some different menu items from the classic Bootlegger menu. To cater for them spicier palates of course.

Introducing, The Masala Burger – a spicy masala beef patty, gherkins, mozzarella and caramelised onions served with chips.

The plant based Chickpea Curry Wrap – Aromatic spices, fresh chilli, baby potatoes, peas & coconut cream.
