The Good Life Show – Calling all Conscious Consumers

The Good Life Show 2024 is coming – and you won’t want to miss out on this extraordinary event.

With the ever-increasing global demand and interest in healthier, more sustainable way of living The Plant Powered Show has fast become one of the most successful food and lifestyle events on the South African exhibition calendar and has, naturally, grown into three new shows.

The Good Life Show will now host four dynamic events under one roof, giving visitors access to all of them with one ticket:

  1. The Plant Powered Show [Africa’s premier plant-based food, drink & conscious living event]
  2.  Natural & Organic Show [Powered by Nature]
  3. The Free-from Show [Embrace the alternatives]
  4. SustainEx [Live and love the sustainable life]

Charting the mushrooming growth in plant-based foods, the 2023 ProVeg International Fast-Food Menu Ranking Report cites that the global plant-based foods sector was estimated to be worth US$ 40.21 billion in 2021; and this figure is expected to nearly double by 2028.

The Good Life Show is aimed at anyone with an interest in food, health, wellness, and the environment who is looking to live more consciously. The show is also open to trade, including the retail, hospitality sectors and to local distributors and exporters, and will appeal to any industry that is looking for innovative, high-quality products. Visitors will have the opportunity to hear directly from businesses that are making a difference and receive the guidance they need to make sustainable changes that align with their lifestyle.

A marketplace filled with sustainable products and everything in between. From beverages to beauty, appliances to accessories and apparel, wellness products to plant-based, natural, organic, and free-from foods, show-goers will be spoilt for choice.

The Good Life Kitchen
The Good Life Kitchen is the star feature of the show. It will be where you will find legendary chefs showcasing their skills and demonstrating the best, easiest ways to create exciting, versatile, healthy, and delicious sustainable recipes. Tops chefs will be using some of the most innovative and popular products to inspire home cooks to experiment with sustainable cooking.

Tasting the Future Talks
The Tasting the Future Talks will feature diverse and compelling talks and panel discussions by culinary experts, top nutritionists, dieticians, health, and sustainability experts. The talks are designed to educate, inspire, and share cutting-edge information shaping the future of food and the food industry.

Premium ticket holders will enjoy exclusive access to some of the country’s top chefs and
mixologists. Foodies and culinary enthusiasts can enhance their skills and take their cooking game to
the next level with a high-quality learning experience packed with in-depth knowledge. Masterclass
tickets costs R150pp and ticket holders can attend as many as they like on any day, as long as they
are also in possession of a general admission ticket. We will announce the program information on
our social media platforms as soon as it becomes available.

The Good Life Show will also feature:

  • Meet & Greets – with your favourite chefs and for book signings.
  • Networking Lounge – connect with industry colleagues and experts and potential partners.
  • Pop-up eateries serving delicious foods.
  • The Sustainable Pub – serving cocktails curated and mixed by top mixologists.
  • Daily yoga demos and wellness classes.
  • Free Tasters and plenty of free samples.

Event producer, Heidi Warricker says:
“Consumers want to make sustainable choices, yet recent studies have shown that they need more information to determine which products, brands, or advice to follow to make the best choices. Many consumers also want to live more consciously and be more mindful of the animals we share the planet with, and at the same time, chefs and foodies want to be inspired to create delicious meals with exciting new ingredients. It is this food revolution that we are proud to be championing by bringing this show to all our visitors.”

A major mainstream event, it is estimated that that more than 15 000 consumers and trade professionals will attend this year’s shows, featuring over 200 exhibitors at each show and around 50 demonstrations and expert talks at each event.
