
I usually make these grilled prawns when I’m having people over or for Eid lunch. It’s always a “WOW” for my guests, but I then have to confess to my secret ingredient – Garlic Man’s Portuguese Garlic Sauce. I don’t yet have the right sub for this sauce, but one day I’ll figure out how they make it, and I’ll make it from scratch. Meanwhile try this recipe next time you want to impress. It will even wow your mother-in-law!


Chilli & Garlic Grilled Prawns
Ingredients
800g Head on prawns, butterflied & deveined
1 bottle Garlic Man garlic sauce
2 Tbsp Mayonaise
juice of half a lemon
3 cloves garlic crushed
Hot chilli sauce of your choice to taste (I like Maggi chilli sauce)
Handful of fresh Dhanya chopped

Method
Mix all ingredients together and apply to prawns.
Lay them out side by side in one layer in a large roasting pan.
Marinate for an hour or 2.
Dot with butter and grill in oven at 180 degrees about 20 minutes or until starting to char and firm.
