As Muslims who have to pray 5 times a day, getting all your Salaah in on time while going about the daily grind in South Africa can be challenging. In Cape Town, many shopping malls have recognised the needs of their Muslim patrons for prayer facilities and have made it easy for us to fulfill our religious obligations. The Malls listed below have facilities to cater for Muslims needing to pray on time.
Canal Walk – A beautifully upgraded Salaah room down the stairs at Entrance 12.
V&A Waterfront – located upstairs in the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre, near the G-Star RAW store passage, and includes provision for Jumu’ah prayers

Kenilworth Centre – Upstairs at Entrance 3 opposite The Crazy store
Cavendish Square – Take the lift to P3 near the concierge
Vangate Mall – A dedicated prayer room that can accommodate up to 200 people. Located on the ground floor, directly opposite Edgars

Salaah on Kromboom – is at Kromboom Centre in Rondebosch East upstairs next to The Ottoman.
Parow Centre – Has a prayer room on-site

Salaams.. thanks for this list. I don’t have my car today so I’m gonna have to go to Parow Centre, so I found this page. Would be nice to list on each one a contact number, and whether they have Jummah and/or a dedicated place for wudhu.
Please can salaah facilities be arranged for Blue Route Mall as well? Alot of Muslim patrons frequent this mall and I’m one of them. It will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Probably best to email the actual Mall management directly.
This is exactly what I would need. In December, I have a Market in the Mall and its from 8am to 8pm. thank you for the suggestion, I will mail them. Surely with such a large contingent of Muslim patrons they should have put this in their planning.
