Located in the urban renewal district of Salt River, Cape Town, The Happy Uncles welcomes you to an Iftar experience like no other. Offering a fully halaal fine dining menu the magic happens right in front of you from their open plan kitchen.
What can you expect from this unique menu?
Starting with the likes of Beignet of Mushroom and Swiss chard and Cheddar cookie with a Tamarind and Brinjal chutney. Or Ka’ak Al Quds, comprising Pulled Sesame bun with Humus creme caramel, Date Honey, Olive oil and toasted Pinenuts. Then there’s From the River to the Sea – Line Fish of Ceviche, Plum, Dashi, Sago, Shatta Aioli, Tiger Prawn and Dune Spinach. A re-invented Maqluba – Braised Lamb shoulder, Turnip, Butternut, Maqluba cracker, wild Rice and Hazelnut. And for the sweet course Peaches and Olives – Olive oil and Thyme sponge, Peach, white Chocolate cremeaux, Hibiscus and Rose Jelly, Pistachio and Cardamom Ice-cream. These are just some of the 8 courses available.
Pro Tip: Make sure to add the optional Tea Pairing, which adds a discerning touch to the meal.
