Super Fisheries, Athlone
A long standing old school fish and chips shop that has broadened its menu to include gatsby and other meals. It has aquired cult status as the owner Rashaad Pandy, is known to be the inventor of the famed Cape Town Gatsby.

Termunis fisheries on the corner of 16th street and 3rd avenue, Elsie’s river is a hidden gem (check out their Google reviews). If you’re worried about the surrounding area, they also do phone orders for collection. Their fish are freshly fried, shop is clean and the service is excellent too.
Slm, I agree Snoekies…the best in town. Fish on the Rocks disappointed us yesterday. Although the fish was fresh, it had no taste. No matter how much salt and vinegar you through on it didn’t had that fish n chips taste. The batter was hard and dry…not what it was before. Pity
