Asian Dunked Chicken Pitas

Asian Dunked Chicken Pitas are such a win for a quick easy meal. Using basic ingredients you already have you can have this flavour burst meal ready in minutes. They are so addictive. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Asian Dunked Chicken Pitas

Ingredients

1 Tbsp crushed garlic
1 tsp dried red chilli flakes
2 Tbsp Tomato sauce
2 Tbsp Soy sauce
2 Tbsp Sweet Chili sauce
2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
1 Tbsp honey
2 Tbsp oil
Chopped fresh coriander
Ready made frozen crumbed Chicken Nuggets. About 300g will work for this amount of sauce. You can add more if you still have sauce. I used these Southern Style Pops from Instafry but you can use any brand you like.

Shredded lettuce

Method

Airfry or cook your nuggets as per instructions.
Warm up the oil in a non stick pan on medium to low heat. Add garlic and stir for a few seconds. Do not allow to brown.
Add all other ingredients except sesame seeds and coriander. Stir to combine and allow to just begin to bubble
Add the chicken nuggets and stir to coat well.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped coriander.

Warm the mini pitas in your toaster on the lowest setting.
Carefully cut open on one side to make the pocket.
Stuff with lettuce and chicken and drizzle with extra sauce.

Pro Tip: Use these as lunchbox fillers or part of a platter for finger food on game night.
