Whether you’re a coffee fan or a foodie, Manaka Coffee at Polofields Crossing, Midrand is sure to satisfy either craving. As the flagship store of the Manaka brand, this coffee shop and eatery has a gorgeous location in the upmarket Waterfall City. Special mention for their Mozart Honey Cake.

Turkish Opulence in the heart of Sandton
Located in the LXX Sandhurst Shopping Centre, a newly opened luxury shopping complex, Mosso restaurant is a masterpiece of marble surfaces, luxurious fabrics, crystal chandeliers and polished finishes. The Turkish food is exceptional and familiar being part of the well-known Istanbul Kebab group. It’s a must do for a special celebration or simply to impress.

The Perfect haunt for the Petrol Head
Smylies is all about the car life. The walls are adorned with car posters, old school car fenders and there’s even a small sofa made from a car seat. It’s a petrol-head’s dream. Even the bathroom sinks look like car tyres and you have to push the pedal with your foot to make the water come out of the taps. Expect burgers, toasties, fries and shakes. All the food have motoring related names like the starters were called a “Minor Service”, and the desserts the “Major Service”. It’s fun and quirky – a spot you have to try at least once.

The most instagrammeable, pinkest of pink cafe’s, EL&N London, has 2 branches, one in Midrand and one in Menlyn. It’s gorgeously over the top and you’ll want to take pictures of it all. EL&N (Elan) stands for Eat, Love & Nourish. Alongside iconic décor and picture perfect dishes and drinks, enjoy their signature wood-fired pizza bar and grills menu – perfect for everything from casual lunches to indulgent dinners.
