This casual eatery in Norwood opened 3 weeks ago has made a huge splash on the Joburg food scene. It even made it into our Readers Choice Top 5 list of 2024. We simply had to check it out to see if it lived up to all the hype.

The eatery is part of the new Padel Courts complex in Norwood just off Grant Road. It has limited seating with a casual contemporary vibe. It’s comfortable but you’re not going to spend hours over a long meal here.

The menu is very focussed and comprises of 4 burgers and a Wagyu Hotdog. I had the Truffle Burger, which I really enjoyed. The patties are proper smash burgers and tasty. They serve the burgers cut in half which makes it easy to handle. The skinny fries portion is generous and the seasoning is tops. We also had the Hot Honey Chicken Burger, which was excellent and the OG Burger.

For drinks they only have the regular Coke based sodas available served in the glass bottle. It’s a retro style and goes with the aesthetic but I would prefer to see more drinks options especially non-Coke options.

Service was fast and friendly. Prices are high at R140 average for a burger and chips without a drink. I’d come here often if the prices were better.
