Cafe Crave has move to Imam Haroon Road in Claremont.

I’ve been visiting this little coffee shop religiously for a while now. It’s become my office away from the office, a place I can have meetings at or catch up with my bestie over a tatsy breakfast. I love the atmosphere, the setting and especially the friendly staff who have a habit of treating you like family….and it’s not just with me but anyone who walks in the door.

This past Saturday I decided to take my boys for lunch since everytime I attempted to, Cafe Crave has always been full.

Luckily this Saturday it was not full at all. I’m always there for breakfast so checking out the lunch menu was the order of the day.

My eldest son ordered a double beef burger. It’s huge! I am told the patties weigh almost 500gr and it’s served with a side order of fries. My youngest ordered a fillet steak burger, made with a 200gr fillet steak, a side order of fries and their secret sauce. I decided to try their Grill Chops Platter. The platter consists of 3 BBQ flavored chops, 3 sausages, a salad, a slice of ciabatta bread and comes with an egg which I swapped out for grilled mushrooms instead.

My kids rated their burgers a solid 9 out of 10. It was very filling. The only downfall on the double beef burger is that the patty was slightly dry however it was very tasty. The steak burger was delicious and my son asked for it for me medium rare which they got just perfect. My chops was devine. The BBQ flavour was not over powering at all. The serving was a little too much for me as I could not finish my food. The chops were succulent but the sausage needs a little spice. I appreciate the swop out of the egg with the mushrooms as I don’t particularly like eggs.

Cafe Crave is fast become a favourite to people in the Southern Suburbs. Their menu consists of a breakfast menu, confectionary items, toasted sandwiches, burgers, bagels, wraps, platters, grills, steak, salads, hot and cold beverages and cakes.

Their meals are value for money, packed with flavour and served with smile.
