It’s official! Conscious Carnivores have re-opened at their brand new location on Dock Road at the V&A Waterfront. Expect the same hearty salt of the earth ethic, a revamped menu that still retains the classics and some exciting new offerings.

The brainchild of Mohammed Adam and Mohamed Mohidien (Mo & Mo), Conscious Carnivores is a fully halaal eatery and has long been a favourite amongst Muslim and non-Muslim foodies alike. From humble beginnings selling their burgers from home to a gorgeous upmarket artisanal eatery at Makers Landing, and now at Dock Road they have certainly made a mark.

The new space is smaller but the aesthetics are gorgeous. At Conscious Carnivores, they’re all about that next-level quality and sustainable sourcing, making sure every ingredient has a story. The eatery also offers a deli section where you can stock up on organic fresh produce, quality meat and biltong.

Made famous by their OG Burger it remains a highlight on the menu made up of a grass-fed beef patty, perfectly grilled, with melty artisanal cheese, rocket, and sweet red onions, all stacked in a soft, buttery brioche bun. They have amped things up with innovative new packaging in iconically branded green burger boxes with a fun tear-away seal. Known for excellent steaks you can rest assured that a variety of options as well as certified Wagyu awaits. The starters menu is quite interesting and includes dumplings, piri piri prawns, chicken skewers, tuna tacos, kataifi haloumi and more.

They’ve also jumped on the canned packaging trend and are offering parfaits and dessert in clear cans. Now you can pop one open and have your peppermint crisp tart, layered jelly or yoghurt and granola straight out of a can. They’re even canning their own mocktails. So it’s an easy stop to pick up a few things before heading out on a picnic. Also look out for their own house brand coffee and range of coffee products. They introduced a Spanish iced latte at the launch which was a hit with everyone there.

The space is limited, so if you don’t want to be disappointed we recommend booking ahead.
