The Bo-Kaap Souk has been re-branded as DOS-TEA at the Hyatt Regency Cape Town!

DOS-TEA is an invitation to pause, connect, and savour the richness of carefully curated blends, steeped in culture and tradition. From Saturday, 1st February, the café welcomes guests to explore an elegant selection of handcrafted teas, thoughtfully paired with artisanal confections in a setting designed for meaningful moments.

Rooted in the vibrant heritage of Bo-Kaap, DOS-TEA draws inspiration from Cape Town’s most colourful and storied neighbourhood. Just steps from the hotel, Bo-Kaap’s winding streets reveal a world of spice shops, cafés, and Cape Malay influences, where every scent and flavour tells a story. This cultural essence is reflected in DOS-TEA’s menu—Masala Chai paired with a fragrant Cape Malay Koe’sister, Zafran Black Tea served alongside almond saffron basbousa, and Karak Tea complemented by pistachio baklava – a tribute to the region’s bold and diverse palate.

With its signature hourglass steeping ritual, each cup invites guests to slow down, savour the moment, and experience the deep-rooted traditions of tea. The café seamlessly blends into the rhythm of Cape Town’s culinary scene, positioned within walking distance of Kloof and Bree Streets, two of the city’s most sought-after food and beverage destinations. As the day unfolds, those arriving before dusk may catch the glow of Table Mountain or Signal Hill, framing the perfect end to a leisurely afternoon.
