It was afternoon glam at the pre-launch of Pigalle at Villamoura. We got to preview the the gorgeous revamped space and sample some exquisite cuisine. Under new ownership they are now fully halaal certified.

The decor exudes old world luxury with a modern twist. Original oil paintings share the space with a larger than life mannequin dressed up entirely in roses. The dark red upholstered chairs and stark white linen tablecloths lend sophistication while the circular padded booths offer stylish intimacy.

Pigalle offers an International, Mediterranean and Seafood menu along with some new spicy Dubai inspired dishes from their Chooza menu. The chilli lemon prawns was amazing but fire! The peri peri calamari tubes were delicious. We sampled their infamous prawn platter which lived well up to expectations but the steak was the winner for me. Tender and juicy, flavoured to perfection and drizzled in olive oil with a side of the smoothest mash I have had yet.

The new offerings also include a brand-new sushi bar as well as a stylish shisha & cigar lounge while retaining the classic elegance of the Pigalle brand.

To celebrate its grand reopening, Pigalle will be hosting an exclusive ‘Dining with the Stars’ weekend. Running from Friday, 1st November to Saturday, 2nd November.  This event will feature special appearances by Dubai Bling personalities, Kris Fade and Ebraheem Alsamadi (aka The Blooming Man), both hailing from Dubai. Bookings are limited for this intimate dining experience and patrons can book by calling 011 889 8866.

At the helm of this transformation is Shanna Gani, the visionary new owner, along with Faadil Tayob who aim to elevate the Pigalle experience while staying true to the restaurant’s roots. They have retained the restaurant’s staff so you can expect the same high level of service as before. In speaking about the reopening, Gani shares: “The era of a new Pigalle by Villamoura is upon us with specific attention towards the magnificent food and the individual flavours. We’re working towards upholding the standard and immaculate quality that Pigalle has always offered but with a more elevated experience.”

Parking is available inside the Michaelangelo Building. You need to park on P6 and take the lift to U09. Or you can also get there via Nelson Mandela Square on the same level as Rocomamas, Calistos and Al Hamra.

Please note: Hungry for Halaal is not a certification body. We do our best to verify that an establishment is Halaal Certified or Muslim owned but we cannot guarantee information that is supplied to us.

User Reviews

  • Visited the newly revamped Pigalle by Vilamoura Sandton, not regretting having hosted my cousin for her birthday, food excellent, service was beyond expectation, management on board, everyone was on board, I ordered the creme brulee dessert, which came decorated with the sweet birthday message, a place not to be missed for any occassion

  • Overhyped overpriced

Setting is like an old ship from the 19th century

They give you butternut soup that looks like tea

    Oysters are R80 each lol

I give that place 3 months
