There’s a week left before schools begin for 2023, and if you need somewhere to exhaust the kids so you can get an early night for a change, then Total Ninja is the answer.

The Total Ninja park is a supervised activity and fitness venue inspired by the global phenomenon TV series Ninja Warrior. They are the largest inflatable and obstacle course in Africa. You can climb, balance, jump and swing across different obstacles using and developing your Ninja skills, plus they have the Warped Wall for every aspiring Ninja to conquer! A great place for family activities and for keeping fit.

The Cape Town branch has been open since May last year, and in December Total Ninja opened in Stoneridge, Edenvale in Johannesburg. Both venues have halaal certified cafés.

The Edenvale branch has a huge cafe area with ample seating and a great view out of floor to ceiling windows over the Joburg horizon. While the kids played their hearts out we enjoyed a really good cappuccino and a somewhat dry chocolate croissant. They have a decent menu of sandwiches, wraps, burgers, pizza and waffles & ice cream.

The cost of play is R160 per hour for adults and kids over 4 years and R80 for mini ninjas under 4 years. Second hour of play is 50% off. The under 5’s have their own dedicated area. It’s close to the café so if you were planning to take your laptop with and do some work while the kids play, then also take your some earplugs or earpods to cancel out the noise.

It’s a little pricey but I felt the facilities were top notch. There’s complimentary lockers to store your shoes and bag. And you can book a party room if you want to host your kids party there.

A great place to kill some hours in a safe environment.
